The name Adelphi traces its origins back to 1825 when the Adelphi Distillery was built in Glasgow. Its name was eventually changed to Loch Katrine Adelphi in the late 1870s. The distillery would be sold and eventually stop all production in the early 1900s. It was revived in 1993 by Jamie Walker who used the site as an independent bottling facility. He would eventually sell it on to the current owners, Keith Falconer and Donald Houston in 2004. Adelphi Selections is one of the most sought-after independent bottlers.
In 2014, Keith and Donald built and opened Ardnamurchan Distillery on the west coast of Scotland.
This Speyside distillery produces a rich, unpeated & fruit-forward distillate that is one of the integral components in the historic White Horse blend, while its single malt bottlings have developed a loyal following.
Tasting Notes: A nose of apple crisp, clove, and dried apricot leads to a palate of figs, cinnamon, and candied bay leaf with a soft but lingering mouthfeel.
