The Bowmore 25 Year Old Small Batch Release is matured for 25 years in a combination of American bourbon and Spanish sherry casks, which imparts a rich and complex flavor profile. On the nose, deep sherry aromas, notes of plum skin, black currant, allspice, star anise, damp peat smoke, cocoa powder, and tanned leather. On the palate, sweet and spicy with hints of cinnamon, tangerines, and mild smoke. It also has flavors of marzipan, currants, and resinous softwood. The finish is medium length with a balance of sweet and salty notes, gingerbread, and a touch of iodine.

Only 8,000 bottles were produced.
