Virginia Distillery Company, founded by a passionate team dedicated to redefining American whisky, has created the Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask. This flagship American Single Malt whisky is crafted from 100% malted barley and is aged a minimum of three years in a harmonious blend of former Sherry, Bourbon, and Cuvée wine casks. The distillery draws from Virginia's unique climate, which features broad temperature shifts that enhance the whisky's flavor profile and complexity.
The distillation process utilizes hand-hammered copper pot stills from Scotland, employing traditional techniques to develop a spirit that pays homage to both its heritage and local roots. Each batch of Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is bottled with careful attention to the nuances imparted by the casks, showcasing the individuality of each release.
