NOMAD begins its journey in the whisky heartland of Speyside, Scotland, at the Whyte & Mackay distilleries, only to finish maturing in Jerez, in the sherry casks of González Byass within their legendary cellars, to go beyond the rules. For the first 6 years, it ages in bourbon barrels in Scotland, after which the liquid travels to Jerez where it remains for an additional year in old Pedro Ximénez casks.
NOMAD is the only Outland Whisky® that completes its maturation in the unique microclimate of Jerez, experiencing the distinct temperature changes and winds of this region. The Angel’s Share in Jerez is 5% compared to 1.5% in its place of origin, Scotland. This significant difference imparts NOMAD with its unique personality and unparalleled rarity.
Nose: It presents a very personal aroma, with notes of malt and hints of wood and sherry.
Taste: Notable are the sensations of raisins, honey, and an unmistakable bouquet from its refinement in sherry casks that once held old Pedro Ximénez.
Finish:With notes of vanilla and dried fruits. A very elegant whisky with a deep aftertaste.
