Volcan De Mi Tierra X.A Reposado Tequila is an extra-aged tequila that was made using several parallel processes of tequila-making. A brand that is celebrating the Volcano that erupted 200.000 years ago to nourish the Jalisco region with grounds, capable of producing the finest tequilas in the world, is of course also celebrating every process of Tequila-making that is known to make a great tasting tequila. They use different cooking processes (both stone and brick ovens and an autoclave) to create a unique flavor profile and a very smooth texture to the tequila, and then blend three spirits that were aged for a different amount of time (a reposado aged for six months in virgin American oak casks, a 14-month-old añejo that’s a blend of European and American oak cask finishes and an extra añejo aged in American oak for three years), adding even more to the complexity of the spirit.
This luxurious-looking and tasting tequila has a spicy nose with notes of cooked agave, vanilla, honey, and dried fruits. The palate is very smooth and sweet with notes of cooked agave, honey, and vanilla, and the finish is ultra-long and ultra-smooth.
